Kids’ toy and clothes swap
November 20, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeDo you have toys, clothes, and/or books that your children have outgrown? Join us for a morning of toy, clothes, and book swapping!
While the swapping gets done, we have creative and sensory play activities so everyone is sure to be entertained.
In collaboration with Mountain Kids Sensory Play
Local children’s author Sharon Baldwin is also joining us for story time
Regift, reuse, reduce, recycle
This event is organised by Australian Parents 4 Climate Action (AP4CA) Blue Mountains branch and is part of their national month of action calling for climate justice.
Date: Sunday 20th November
Time: 10am to 12pm
Venue: Joy Anderson Room, Lawson Mid Mountains Community Centre, 9 New St Lawson
How it works: Bring up to 10 good quality clothing items and/or up to 10 good quality toys OR make a donation on the door.
Why: to reduce waste and consumption in the Blue Mountains, and take better care of the planet for our children’s future.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land, the Dharug and Gundungurra people. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land. Waste and overconsumption is ongoing settler colonialism on Indigenous land.
