Re-Designing our Communities

The effects of climate change, the pandemic, and an unstable global politic have created a huge urgency to implement more sustainable practices in everything we do. This session outlines a framework for creating not just resilient towns and villages in the Blue Mountains but also vibrant communities thriving on local economy. The session will focus on wood, water, food and fire and how we can work with them to mitigate disaster and increase abundance.
The session will be presented and facilitated by Gary Caganoff, who has lived in the upper Mountains for 25 years. Gary has a wide range of interests including Social Ecology, permaculture, psychology, renewable energy, sustainability, the environment and human rights.
